Breast Cancer Awareness...
On Sunday, the boys took to the ice all decked out in pink for the Wolves Cancer Awareness Fundraiser game. The team raised $1,228.00 for breast cancer research. Taking on Barrie for the first time this season, the boys did not disappoint. Playing in front of a larger than normal crowd all dressed in pink seemed to give the boys all the motivation they needed. Although, the boys had many chances in the first period there was no score until the middle of the second when the boys found the back of the net. Barrie answered back before the end of the second. With the score tied at 1-1, the boys knew they needed to work hard in the third to pull out the win. The boys sure gave the fans something to cheer about! The boys came on strong and worked well as a team. The payoff was netting 5 unanswered goals in the third period, downing Barrie with a score of 6 to 1. The coaching staff would like to congratulate the team on a game well played. Let’s keep it rolling!!!!!!
