The tournament started bright and early on Friday morning with the team playing the Buffalo Saints at 9a.m. winning the game 5-1 great start! They continued their winning streak at 5:35 on Friday afternoon defeating the Gloucester Rangers team 5-2.
Then on Saturday they took on Hamburg Hawks at 12:50 winning that game 5-2, later on Saturday afternoon at 5:55 they pulled off their 4th win against the Burlington Eagles with a score of 4-3.
With that win it put them into the semi-finals on Sunday placing 2nd over all.
On Sunday at 12:05 they took on Nickel City Sons and won the game 4-2. The boys then advanced to the gold finals where they faced off against the home team, the Markham Majors and pulled out the Gold medal win 5-1. They played a total of 6 games and were undefeated. The coaching staff was very proud of the team effort and that the boys never gave up and had a very positive attitude all weekend. Their work ethic and willingness to learn and putting their team first attitude will get them far this year with many more wins to come.
