Submitted By bm on Thursday, July 25, 2013
Congratulations to Jake Bricknell, Johnny Corneil and Austin Eastman for making the final 68.  Good luck at the tournament.  The Wolves will be cheering for you.

Toronto, ON - Team Ontario Director of Operations Barclay Branch along with Head Coach Roger Hunt, Assistant Coaches Drew Bannister and Seamus Kotyk are pleased to announce that they have identified the 68 players who will attend the 2013 Under-17 Provincial Camp to be held in Oshawa, Ontario.  On ice sessions will take place at the General Motors Centre from August 14-18, 2013.

Director of Operations Barclay Branch and his coaching staff will be evaluating all players at this year’s Provincial Camp and select a team from this group that will represent Ontario at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge to be held in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, from December 27, 2013, until January 5, 2014.

Players were identified for the Provincial Camp through competition at the inaugural U16 OHL Gold Cup held May 9-12 in Kitchener where eight teams and 160 players represented the ALLIANCE, GTHL, HNO, NOHA, OMHA, and the tournament champion ODHA.  For more information on the U16 OHL Gold Cup please visit www.ohlgoldcup.com.

Team Ontario last won Gold at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Winnipeg led by a two-goal performance by Sean Monahan (Ottawa 67's) in a 5-3 win over the United States.

The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario (HDCO) facilitates the Men’s Under-17 hockey program on behalf of the three Ontario Branches of Hockey Canada.
