Erie, Pennsylvania – The Erie Otters announced Friday that Mitchell Byrne, Taylor Egan, and Mason Marchment all agreed to standard Ontario Hockey League agreements and committed to the team.
Byrne and Egan attended their first training camp with the Erie Otters after being drafted in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. Byrne was selected 85th overall in the 5th round last April. Egan was taken with the 110th pick as the team’s sixth round selection.
Marchment, the son of former NHL defenseman Bryan Marchment, was a free agent invite to Erie’s training camp. The 6’3”, 195-pound, 18-year-old forward played last season with Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL recording 22 goals and 43 points in 51 regular games played.
