Dawn Leeking, mother of Braydon (COW minor-midget), Baylie and wife of
Marty, passed away September 29th, 2015, after a long and courageous battle
with cancer.
Dawn had been a fixture around Kawartha Lakes rinks, and those all over
southern Ontario, for nearly a decade; her trademark raspy voice booming
encouragement down from the rafters.
She was a beautiful lady who's smile lit up every room she ever entered and
the embodiment of the ultimate hockey mom; caring, generous, enthusiastic in
victory and graceful in defeat.
The thoughts and prayers of the COWHA go out to the Leeking family and their
extended hockey families at this difficult time.
