The
Tyler Hanson Memorial Street Hockey Event will be happening again this year (Sept. 30 & Oct. 1) As you know our event promotes fun, friendship, hockey and is an opportunity to provide a fun social and "team building event" for participants, all in Tyler's memory and with proceeds going to two great organizations.
Last year we raised almost $15,000.00 for the Sick Kids PACTeam. This year . . .
all funds raised will split 50/50 be going to the
Sick Kids PACTeam and
Big Brothers Big Sisters North Durham. (Please see the links for more detailed information about each organization)
Many of you have heard of Sick Kids Hospital, however the Sick Kids PACTeam (Paediatric Acute Care Team) is a team that is not as well known. This caring, dedicated group of professionals help patients and families facing end of life situations as well as funding the creation and maintenance of bereavement rooms at Sick Kids Hospital.
We all hope for the best for any of the patients that attend Sick Kids Hospital, however sometimes that is not the outcome that presents itself. When this happens the PACTeam steps in to help.
