The past Saturday your Central
Ontario Wolves Midget team hosted a 4 game lineup against the Oshawa Generals
for a Hockey Battles Cancer event. The event raised over $6,500.00 for three
beneficiaries including the King Family, Hearth Place (an organization that
supports patients and families through this terrible illness throughout the
Central Ontario Region), and the founding donation of the Central Ontario
Wolves Hockey Battle Cancer Trust Fund, which will be used to aide those
players and families within our organization that need our support.
We would like to thank all the players, parents and families that participated and made this event such a huge success. We would also like to thank all the friends, families and fans in attendance for their support, and of course this event would not have been able to be run without the continued support of TSO Hockey, Brad and Sherry Bricknell and the Bricknell family. Thank-you!
It is our expectation to have a full Wolves Day next year during October's Cancer Awareness month, where we will have all teams participate in hopes of raising over $10,000.00.
As a side note each of our Wolves teams (Novice, Atom, Peewee and Midget) each won their respective games.
See you at the rink and hopefully in a pink toque!
