2019-2020 Minor Midget Assistant Coaching Staff Formalized

The Midget Program (Minor Midget x 1 Year and Major Midget x 2 Years) is typically when AAA athletes are formally exposed and introduced to a number of post AAA options including but not limited to the OHL, Junior Tier 2, NCAA, Junior B/C and more. As such, as soon as tryouts conclude, the Minor Midget year is the beginning of a 3 year process that will see these players begin to prepare as a team and individually for this up and coming season and the next level.

Likewise, the coaching staff that will be leading them on this journey is as equally focused in their preparation and very excited to get going. It is with great pleasure the Central Ontario Wolves officially release the Coaching Staff for this years Minor Midget Bench.

Head Coach - Justin Woolacott

Justin is entering his 3rd season as a Head Coach with the Wolves 04' group.

He has over 13 years of coaching experience and came to the Wolves organization after spending 4 years as a coach with the Lindsay Muskies Jr.A  program. He spend the previous 2 seasons working with the Little Britain Merchants Jr.C hockey team and spent time within the Peterborough AAA organization prior to that. Justin grew up playing in the Wolves organization and continued on to play in the OJHL before turning to coaching. Justin has also has been named to represent the OMHA as a coach in the upcoming 2019 OHL Gold Cup.

Corey comes to our program after being a head coach in the Erste Liga which is a Hungarian professional league this past season and prior to that he spend 4 seasons in the NOJHL as a Head coach and GM with stops in Elliot Lake, and Iroquois Falls. Corey has also coached in the OHL, OJHL, and COJHL and brings over 15 years of coaching experience to our group.In his playing career Corey spend time in the OJHL, OHL, ECHL, and some other pro stops along the way. 

We are very excited to welcome Corey aboard as he brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience and will help develop our players for the next level.

 

 

Kyle_Brown.jpg     Assistant Coach - Kyle Brown

With over 10 years of coaching experience at various levels Kyle brings his high energy and dynamic coaching style to our group. Kyle owns and operates his own business StayFit Performance, is a personal trainer by trade and specializes in creating dynamic speed and agility in athletes of all ages. He will also work as our strength and conditioning coach and will provide our players with the necessary skills to excel at the next level. 
 

Kyle is also a Power Edge Pro instructor and will bring this specialized training to our program. We are very excited to have Kyle and welcome him to the team.
