Great coaching builds great players. Let’s get started!
U-10 Ryan Ramsay: As a player, Ryan Ramsay spent five seasons in the OHL before a well-traveled pro career that lasted more than a decade and saw him signa contract with the St. Louis Blues and spend time in the AHL with Peoria and Worcester, as well as in Alaska. From there, he enjoyed a decorated career in Germany in the DEL and placing among the league leaders in scoring several times. A hand injury forced him to hang up his skates in 2015 and move behind the bench, and he has been active as an instructor, coach and GM for more than a decade. In addition to his duties with the Wolves, Ryan also serves as Head Coach and GM of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Haliburton County Huskies.
U-11 Kevin Hayward: For nearly 20 years, Kevin Hayward has been involved in coaching after playing junior hockey with his hometown Stouffville Spirit, and later in Niagara Falls. He has spent time behind the bench with numerous age groups, most recently with the North Durham Warriors. Kevin is excited to pass along his extensive knowledge of the game to a new generation of Wolves in 2025-26 as the Under-11 team begins their journey into AAA hockey.
U-12 Josh Barker: Josh Barker is High Performance Level 1, trained and has been active as a coach for more than a decade. He operates a successful hockey school in Clarington and has been a key part of graduating dozens of players to higher levels of hockey. A commitment to aiding players in realizing their potential drew him to the opportunity with the Under-12 Wolves in the 2025-26 season and he looks to continue the positive development path the team has been on and lead them to even greater heights.
U-13 Logan Maunder: A leader on the ice and in the community as a player, Peterborough’s Logan Maunder served as captain of the Lindsay Muskies in the 2022-23 season. The lessons of working hard to overcome obstacles and set a positive example guide his coaching philosophy. He is thrilled to be able to continue to lead the next generation of prospects with the Under-13 Wolves in 2025-26 and hopes to instill the same work ethic that led him to success in his players.
U-14 Carter Bursey: Carter Bursey finished his playing career with stints in his hometown of Port Perry, as well as Georgina in 2022. Has already been active as a coach in Mississauga and Oshawa, and is thrilled with the opportunity to continue to build on his experience with the Wolves. With youthful energy, and a strong background from his time with Okanagan Hockey Ontario, he knows the importance of being a well rounded player and is looking forward to building on a strong foundation in 2025-26 with the Under-14 Wolves.
U-15 Ash Goldie: Originally from London, Ontario, hockey provided Ash Goldie with the opportunity to see the world as a player, first in the NCAA with Michigan State. Then, he embarked on a pro career that saw him spend time in California, Denmark, Germany, Japan, and Scotland. For more than a decade, he has been active as a coach, and was most recently pulling double duty behind the bench, guiding the U-10 and U-14 Wolves during the 2024-25 season. His extensive international experience offers unique insight and perspective that he is thrilled to be able to share with the Under-15 Wolves this upcoming season.
U-16 Joe Piccone: After capping his junior hockey playing career with a championship as a member of the Aurora Tigers, Joe Piccone turned his attention to coaching. Over nearly 20 years behind the bench he has served as a coach in the GTHL from U-9 to U-18, as well as a stint in Junior ‘A’ with Aurora.
Recently, he has gained valuable experience at the USports level, serving as an Assistant Coach with Ontario Tech University. Joe is thrilled to be able to bring his wide range of expertise to the Under-16 Wolves in 2025-26, and looks forward to playing a pivotal role in the development of his team on and off the ice.
U-18 Keith Leslie: One of the most prolific scorers in the history of junior hockey in Port Perry, Keith Leslie has been coaching at a high level for more than 20 years. He has served as a coach at the junior level in Little Britain and Uxbridge before returning to minor hockey and coaching for more than a decade in his hometown of Oshawa. He is thrilled to be coming back to Scugog Arena to lead the Under-18 Wolves for the 2025-26 season.
