Wolves vs. South Central
Braving the dicey weather, the boys travelled to Richmond Hill to take on South Central on Saturday.
This was the first meeting between the Wovles and South Central.
After a scoreless first period, Stacey opened the scoring in the second for the Wolves. Unfortunately, South Central answered that goal and scored another before the end of the second.
The Wovles were down by 1 going into third period. With South Central in some penalty trouble, Best let a rocket go from the point tying the game. Best’s goal was assisted by Heyes and Worsley. With South Central pressing hard to net a goal, net minder Rogers made some incredible saves to keep the game tied. The game would remain tied until the final seconds of the game when Fergusson rushed up ice, letting a shot go with Peterkin banging in the rebound for the game winner with 16 seconds left.
